THE RETREAT

 ‘The Retreat’ packs all the wonders of a North America camping trip into a miniature, hyper-realistic model. The aim of this project was to bring to life the sense of depth and magnitude of a national park, whilst ensuring the model remained at roughly half the size of a shoebox. By using mirrors to create the illusion of an extensive sugar pine forest, a creek with realistic water and a modest campsite sitting beside a towering rocky cliff top, we were able to bring this idea to life.
